Timu ya Taifa ya Tanzania “Taifa Stars” inayodhaminiwa na Bia ya Serengeti inakabiliwa na mchezo muhimu dhidi ya Uganda wa kufuzu kucheza Fainali za Afrika mwaka huu. Huu ni mchezo ambao kama Taifa Stars itashinda inaweza kukata tiketi ya kucheza AFCON mwaka huu itakayofanyika nchini Misri. Mchezo dhidi ya Uganda utachezwa Jumapili Machi 24,2019 saa 12 jioni kwenye Uwanja wa Taifa. Kocha Mkuu wa Taifa Stars Emmanuel Amunike ametangaza kikosi kitakachopambana kuisaka tiketi hiyo kwenye Uwanja wa nyumbani. Nahodha Mbwana Samatta anayecheza KRC Genk ya Belgium ataongoza kikosi katika mchezo huo uliobeba imani ya Watanzania. Kocha Amunike amesema Kikosi alichokitaja kimezingatia mambo mengi kuhakikisha Taifa Stars inapata ushindi. Amewataka Watanzania kuiunga mkono Taifa Stars katika kuipeperusha bendera ya Tanzania. Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah wants to book Ghana's 2019 Afcon ticket 'as soon as possible'



James Kwesi Appiah is hoping to book a ticket for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations when his side meets Ethiopia, November 18 fixture in Addis Ababa. 
Ghana are third in Group F with two more matches to end the series, the Black Stars will be hoping to bounce from defeat against Kenya in Nairobi.
Three points will all but confirm the four-time African champions as one of the two qualifying teams from the group, ahead of the final round of games in March next year.
A scheduled doubleheader against Sierra Leone last month was cancelled at the last hour after Fifa indefinitely banned the Leone Stars' football association on ground of "governmental interference".
"We have kept on monitoring our players and I believe that now, the concentration [is] on how best we can qualify as soon as possible," Appiah told Daily Graphic.
"We have got two games ahead of us. We just need to get a win in Ethiopia and then we all can relax.
“We have had no problems as of now because the monitoring [exercise] has been going on well.
"No injuries as of now, so hopefully by the end of this week, we should look at their games [abroad] and then bring out the final team for the Ethiopia game."

Caf awards: Aubameyang, Mane and Salah on final shortlist

Egypt international Mohamed Salah is in line to retain  his African Player of the Year award  after being named on a three-man shortlist along with Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane of Senegal and Arsenal's Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Salah,  who was named the BBC's African Footballer of the Year for a second time in December,  won the Confederation of African Football (Caf) award last year. It was an identical shortlist with Salah emerging as the winner. This year's ceremony will be held at an awards gala on 8 January in Dakar, Senegal.
